4 Days of Unique Winter Training for Horseback Archers
Step into a training camp unlike anything you’ve experienced before. Snow-covered trails, bareback forest rides, skiing behind a galloping horse — this camp blends traditional horseback archery with playful, physical, and creative winter exercises.
Train with a bow.
Move with your horse.
Play, sweat, and maybe fall a few times in the snow.
But most importantly — grow as a rider and archer in a whole new way.
This is a winter playground for horseback archers. And yes, professional photos of your snowy adventure are included.
Ground archery is practiced indoors in a warm hall, ensuring comfort and focus even when the temperatures drop outside.
What’s Included?
While the exact schedule may vary slightly based on weather and group needs, here’s what you can expect:
DAY 1 – Connection & Control
- Archery: Technical foundation & drills
- Forest trail ride without saddle: learning to move with your horse, not just on it
DAY 2 – Balance in Motion
- Archery: Balance, posture, and body awareness
- Skiing and sleigh riding behind a horse — for fun, fitness, and flow (yes, you might shoot too)
DAY 3 – Pressure & Precision
- Archery: Accuracy under pressure
- Mongolian-inspired “ball hunt” – speed, teamwork, and strategy on horseback
DAY 4 – Games & Grit
Mogu: chasing the target on horseback (yes, even on a snow-covered road!)
Archery: Playful challenges and mini-games
Instructor: Anni Jauhiainen
Your coach for this exclusive winter camp is Anni Jauhiainen, one of the most accomplished horseback archers in Europe. Her achievements speak for themselves:

We are located just 35 minutes from Rovaniemi, easily reachable by:
- Plane (Lapland Rovaniemi Airport) check direct flights here
- Train (daily connections to Rovaniemi from Helsinki)
- Bus (regular routes + pick-up option available)
We’ll send detailed arrival info before the camp. Pick-up from Rovaniemi is available by request (for an extra fee).
