Horseback Archery in Lapland – Train, Compete, and Find Focus in Nature
Horseback archery is a captivating sport that combines the harmony of riding, precision, and deep concentration. At Ranch Kuulas we offer some of the most versatile and authentic training facilities for horseback archery in Finland — suitable for both beginners and experienced archers.
Here, in the heart of Lapland, surrounded by pure northern nature, every training session becomes more than practice. It’s a moment of connection between horse, rider, and the rhythm of nature.

Full-Size 110 m Competition Track with Electronic Timing
Ranch Kuulas is one of the few places in Finland with a full-length 110-metre competition track equipped with electronic timing, a shooting tower, and RAID targets. The track offers realistic, competition-level training conditions — ideal for improving both accuracy and speed. Whether you’re preparing for national competitions or simply refining your skills, this track provides the tools to reach your next level.

10 m Indoor Training Lane for Year-Round Practice
Lapland winters are long, but training doesn’t have to stop.
Our 10-metre indoor range allows you to keep your archery routine going even during the coldest months. The space is perfect for practicing shooting technique, draw control, and consistency through every season.
Outdoor Ground-Archery Range
In addition to mounted training, we also offer a separate outdoor ground-archery range, ideal for warming up, practicing form, or running beginner sessions. Ground shooting helps build confidence and fine-tune technique before taking the bow to horseback.

Forest and Field Practice Tracks
At Ranch Kuulas, for larger camps, we can even set up a Hunt Track across several hectares of open field or forest, fully customizable for different skill levels.
We also have access to 3D animal targets for special training camps and events.
Practice Barrels for Independent Training
Four training barrels are available for riders to work on shooting position and bow handling safely while stationary. These are excellent tools for independent practice and refining technique without the movement of the horse.

Peace, Focus, and Lapland’s Wild Beauty
Ranch Kuulas is located in one of Lapland’s most peaceful settings, surrounded by forests, hills, and endless skies. The quiet atmosphere allows archers to train with complete focus. Every session becomes not only about skill, but also about mindfulness and connection to nature.
