Horseback archery is a sport of rhythm and flow.
The Hunt track brings this rhythm to its highest level. Riders must react quickly, adapt their shooting line and maintain balance while targets appear in rapid succession.
The Hunt Track Training Camp at Ranch Kuulas is designed to help riders develop these skills through focused practice and coaching.
Participants train daily on Hunt tracks with different levels of technical difficulty. Each run offers the opportunity to improve timing, adjust shooting technique and refine track strategy.
Ground archery sessions complement mounted training by strengthening accuracy, timing and body awareness.
Throughout the camp, coach Anni Jauhiainen provides individual feedback, helping riders identify improvements in their riding rhythm, shooting sequence and mental preparation.
Between training sessions, participants can relax in the calm environment of the ranch, enjoy meals together and recover in the sauna.
The long summer days of Lapland allow plenty of time for training and reflection while the midnight sun keeps the northern landscape glowing late into the evening.
This camp is ideal for riders who want to deepen their understanding of the Hunt discipline and push their skills to the next level.
Instructor
Training is led by Anni Jauhiainen, one of the most accomplished horseback archers in Europe.
Her achievements include:
Two-time Finnish Champion (2022 & 2023)
Silver medalist at the European Championships (2022)
First female horseback archer in the world to reach HA8 level
World record holder
Certified mental coach (TKYO 2021)
Anni’s coaching style is calm, precise and encouraging, helping riders develop both their technical skill and mental focus.

The Holiday of Your Dreams Awaits

The Ranch & Our Way of Working

About us
We are a small working ranch outside Rovaniemi, where we live and work with Finnhorses throughout the year. Our riding takes place on forest trails and open terrain shaped by the northern seasons, using Finland’s native horse breed known for its strength, steady temperament, and long history.
We guide our rides in small groups and match each horse carefully to the rider’s experience. Alongside riding, we prepare meals at Restaurant Loimu in a wood-fired oven and are opening farmhouse-style accommodation in summer 2026 for guests who want to stay longer in a quiet rural setting.
Responsibility
At Ranch Kuulas, responsibility is part of everyday life. We care for our horses, nature and surroundings with respect, following sustainable practices and traditional ways of working. Our goal is to create experiences that feel meaningful while preserving the environment for the future.
Our Horses
Our horses are at the heart of Ranch Kuulas. From Finnish Finnhorses to Arctic horses, each one is carefully trained and well cared for. Known for their calm temperament and strength, they make every riding experience safe, steady and deeply connected to nature.
