Ranch Kuulas is a small Finnish ranch just outside Rovaniemi. We live and work here with our Finnhorses throughout the year, following the rhythm of the seasons.
Guests join us for unhurried rides through forests and hills, for simple meals prepared in a wood-fired oven, and for quiet evenings on the ranch. Everything is kept small-scale and personal.
Our focus is straightforward: calm horses, safe guidance, honest food, and time spent outdoors.
This is everyday life in Lapland, shared with those who want to experience it.
From June to early August, we ride in long northern light through quiet forests and open hills, in small groups with steady Finnhorses and an unhurried pace.

About us
We are a small working ranch outside Rovaniemi, where we live and work with Finnhorses throughout the year. Our riding takes place on forest trails and open terrain shaped by the northern seasons, using Finland’s native horse breed known for its strength, steady temperament, and long history.
We guide our rides in small groups and match each horse carefully to the rider’s experience. Alongside riding, we prepare meals at Restaurant Loimu in a wood-fired oven and are opening farmhouse-style accommodation in summer 2026 for guests who want to stay longer in a quiet rural setting.

At Ranch Kuulas, responsibility is part of everyday life. We care for our horses, nature and surroundings with respect, following sustainable practices and traditional ways of working. Our goal is to create experiences that feel meaningful while preserving the environment for the future.

Glamping for two
Experience glamping in the quiet nature of Finnish Lapland, just steps away from a small lake and surrounded by forest. This is not a resort-style stay, but something more personal — a simple, authentic environment where you stay close to nature while still having the essentials for a comfortable visit.
Guests have access to a shared cottage with a sauna, kitchen and living space. Cooking is done with a gas stove, grill or fireplace, and we recommend bringing your own food for the stay. The atmosphere is calm and unhurried, offering a chance to disconnect and experience Lapland as it is.

Glamping at Ranch Kuulas includes access to essential facilities designed to keep your stay comfortable while maintaining the natural experience. Guests can use a shared cottage with sauna, kitchen area, fireplace and indoor seating.
Cooking is possible with a gas stove and grill, and basic equipment is available. Please note that there is no oven or fridge, and we recommend bringing your own food and supplies. An outdoor toilet is available near the tents.

Where to find us?
We are located in Finnish Lapland, just outside Rovaniemi and above the Arctic Circle. The ranch sits in a rural setting surrounded by forest and open countryside, offering quiet surroundings while still being within reach of main travel routes.
Most guests arrive via Rovaniemi Airport, which has regular connections from Helsinki and selected European cities. The ranch can also be reached from other Finnish airports by car or public transport.
